The Washington Wildthings defeated the Rohnert Park Cougars, 7-3. Catcher Randy Clemons deserved a large share of the credit. Clemons was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI for the Wildthings. With the win, last-place Washington is 17-113.

With Washington leading 2-0 in the bottom of the third, Clemons hit a 2-run single off Rohnert Park hurler Ricky Valdez. It was the 26th hit of the season for Clemons and put his team ahead, 4-0.
