The home crowd had a good time watching the Rohnert Park Cougars and Washington Wildthings get after it.

The Washington Wildthings topped the Rohnert Park Cougars, 8-1, with first baseman Doug Bryars playing a big role. Bryars went 2-2 with a double and a walk for the Wildthings in the win. The last-place Wildthings own a record of 29-100.

Amreet Dravid had a big 3-run home run for the Wildthings in the bottom of the second inning. With Washington leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Joe Russell and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Wildthings on top, 4-0.

Dravid called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
