Mountaineers Roll to 8-0 Win Over Chiefs
The first-place Winchester Mountaineers played host to the Mescalero Chiefs.

Winchester Mountaineers starter Denny Mason had all his pitches working at Mountaineers Park. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-0 Winchester win over the Mescalero Chiefs. The first-place Mountaineers improved to 93-38.

The Mountaineers got an important contribution from shortstop Bill Dennis, who in the bottom of the second hit a first pitch changeup to left for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Mountaineers ahead, 4-0.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Dennis.
