Dread Kings Take Down Mountaineers, 3-2
|
In a low-scoring game between the Boise Dread Kings and the Winchester Mountaineers, pitcher Aaron Lasco was the difference-maker. The Boise left-hander was tough as nails in the 3-2 Dread Kings win. The second-place Dread Kings are now 77-54, the Mountaineers 100-31.
Boise took the lead, 3-2, on Aaron Davenport's 14th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Davenport hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Winchester pitcher Gilberto Cortez crestfallen.
"Enjoyed this one," Lasco told the Boise Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
