The exploits of center fielder Jesse Rupp helped the Boise Dread Kings defeat the Winchester Mountaineers, 7-2. Rupp went 4 for 5 with a triple and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Robert Velasquez came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4.1 innings. His record now stands at 4-3. The Dread Kings improved to 76-54.

Boise took a 6-2 lead on Rupp's 1st triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which he hit off Jerome Abney in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Boise to the win.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Boise skipper Sean Drummond.
