Traverse City and Libertyville duked it out and the Bears came out victorious.

The Traverse City Bears racked up a win at Greensboro Grounds, bumping off the Libertyville Polecats, 4-3. Pat Potter, who started for Traverse City, pitched effectively for his team. Jason Eppert was called on to finish, recording his 13th save.

The Bears got a big at-bat from first baseman Trent Slagle. For the game, Slagle was 1-4 with a double. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season gave Traverse City a 1-0 lead.

"This was a good win," said Slagle.

The Bears improved their record to 53-78 with the win over Libertyville.
