In a tight game between the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers and the Traverse City Bears, pitcher Preston Todd was terrific on the mound. The Encinitas right-hander helped his team to the 3-0 win. Brian Hayden closed it out for his 20th save. The Eskimo Brothers improved to a lofty 90-36.

Steve Valkenburg swatted a 2-run home run for Encinitas in the bottom of the fourth. The right fielder went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
