Fresno Drops Another One, 6-5

Ryan Schlagel had a good game, but he could not keep the Fresno Running Rebels from falling, 6-5, to the Rohnert Park Cougars at Ballpark of Greenup. The Fresno designated hitter went 2 for 5 with 2 home runs in the loss. Reliever Mike Garcia picked up the win. His record improves to 3-3. Cody Kucharski took the loss. Fresno has now lost 7 in a row.
The Cougars got a big hit from center fielder Rich Tangorra. In the bottom of the sixth, Tangorra smacked a 3-run home run off Fresno pitcher Cody Kucharski. It was his 1st home run of the season. Suddenly, the Cougars were ahead, 6-4.
Said losing manager Jayden Edwards: "The only way to escape your past is to be better than your past."
