Floundering Running Rebels Lose 6th Straight
Rohnert Park second baseman Jason Clare was instrumental in helping the Cougars triumph, 11-10, over the Fresno Running Rebels. Clare went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Drew Yarussi got credit for the win, improving to 5-6. He allowed 3 runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. Dave Flores closed the door for Rohnert Park, picking up his 12th save of the year.

Rohnert Park took the lead, 9-6, on Steve Taylor's 8th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Fresno pitcher Brad Kitts in the bottom of the eighth.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Taylor.
