Dread Kings Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
Despite a fine performance by catcher Ronnie Riemenschneider, the Mescalero Chiefs lost to the Boise Dread Kings, 7-5, in 10 innings. Riemenschneider went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. David Caldwell came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-4. Mescalero has now lost 6 in a row.

Boise won the game in part because of Ricky Colon. The center fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Dread Kings ahead, 6-5. For the game, Colon had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"This win gets us that much closer to where we want to be," Colon said in postgame remarks.
