Millionaires Get One-Run Win at Mesa
Alcoa beat Mesa at Razor Sharks Ballpark, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Alex Torres. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Alcoa reliever Danny Williams picked up the win, upping his record to 11-4. Daniel Yanez was saddled with the loss. Jeremy Davila earned his 2nd save in 8 chances.

Torres contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Alcoa in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Torres took a fastball from Daniel Yanez and stroked the home run to right-center. His 12th home run of the season allowed the Millionaires to leap in front, 4-2.

"I felt good up there," said Torres. "I saw the ball well."

The 4th-place Millionaires hiked their record to 48-80.
