Orlando Roque pitched well, but the Rohnert Park Cougars still fell short, losing, 3-2, to the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers at Ballpark of Greenup. The 88-38 Eskimo Brothers lead the Eastern AA Northern Division by one game.

Danny Lucena made it 3-2, in favor of Encinitas when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with two out in the top of the eighth. The Eskimo Brothers went on to win.

Lucena attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
