The Libertyville Polecats defeated the Alcoa Millionaires, 7-3, in Eastern AA action at Field of the Polecats. Libertyville pitcher Ruben Moralez had a standout performance. The winning continues for Libertyville, with the latest triumph making it 7 straight.

Trent Liptak drew 1 walk for Libertyville. The 24-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jerry Cirulli. It was his 40th walk of the season.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Libertyville manager Justin Thiede.
