The Alcoa Millionaires used the hitting of catcher Roger Hodge to subdue the Riverside Rotters, 10-9. For the game, Hodge went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Reliever Danny Williams picked up the win. His record improves to 10-4. Pete Mead, who is tied for 2nd in the E-AA in holds with 8, took the loss. Alcoa took the lead, 10-9, on Eddie Rothschild's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Riverside pitcher Pete Mead in the bottom of the seventh.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Rothschild told a Alcoa Herald reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
