The home crowd came to cheer on their first-place Encinitas Eskimo Brothers.

The Encinitas Eskimo Brothers picked up a win, 15-4, over the Rohnert Park Cougars at EBDBBNB Park. Tony Thomas led the charge. The Providence, Rhode Island native went 3-5 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for Encinitas. Mike Strasser came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0.

Armando Gomez chipped in a 2-run home run for Encinitas in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the left fielder had 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.

"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Thomas.

Encinitas is now 86-36, 4 games up in the Eastern AA Northern Division.
