Traverse City pitcher Sean Finch had a large part in his team beating the Mescalero Chiefs, 2-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Traverse City now sits at 56-65, while Mescalero falls to 69-52.

Traverse City got a clutch hit from B.B. Bugbee. The first baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Winning never gets dull," said Bugbee.
