Mountaineers, Treadway Deal Polecats 5-1 Setback
|
Winchester pitcher Brian Treadway had a large part in his team subduing the Libertyville Polecats, 5-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. This win makes it 5 in a row for Winchester.
Treadway's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 2 strikeouts in 8.1 innings while allowing 3 hits. Treadway, who is tied for 2nd in the E-AA with a 2.12 ERA, goes to 10-3 on the year with 108 strikeouts.
"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Treadway.
