Washington Beaten, 3-1, by Boise
|
The Boise Dread Kings went home winners at Red Barons Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Jean Thiébaut. Thiébaut stifled the Washington Wildthings, enabling Boise to grab the 3-1 win. William Deel earned his 8th save in 11 chances. The triumph puts Boise at 66-54 for the season.
Juan Garcia came through with a big-time hit for Boise. The third baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Jean made the big pitches when he needed to," said Boise manager Roberto Flores.
