Halifax Gets 8-3 Win
|
The Halifax Heathens downed the New York Nightmare, 8-3. The hitting star was first baseman Eric Kukowski. Kukowski was 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2 for the Heathens. The winning pitcher was five-time All-Star Joe Hart. He tossed 96 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits. The Nightmare fall to 12-15 and continue their lackluster start to the 2021 season.
Gustavo Orozco, who is tied for 10th in the AC in home runs with 4, aided the Halifax cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder was 1-5, while adding 2 RBI.
