Starting pitcher Aaron Lasco gave the Boise Dread Kings a rock-solid effort. The Brunswick, Ohio native helped his team defeat the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers, 3-2, at Ballpark of Boise. The winner was Boise reliever Mike Trivett, now 1-4. The loser was Jack Judy. Luke Getts was credited with the save for Boise, his 14th of the season.
Ted Bellinger drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate against the Eskimo Brothers. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Boise in front, 3-2.
"We had a good game plan," Lasco said, "and we were able to execute it."
Boise now sits at 70-51, while Encinitas falls to 87-34.
