Aurora pitcher Jon Dye had a large part in his team subduing the Fresno Running Rebels, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Gary Day earned the save for Aurora, his 2nd. The 4th-place Suns are now 60-62, the Running Rebels 54-68.

Roman Stephenson dealt the Running Rebels a blow in the top of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Aurora leading 2-1, Stephenson hit a 1-2 slider for a 2-run single.

"Jon was hitting his spots and everything had life," said Aurora manager Oscar Figeroa.
