Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Winchester Mountaineers and Boise Dread Kings.

Winchester pitcher Frank Sarabia had a large part in his team subduing the Boise Dread Kings, 5-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. The Mountaineers improved to a lofty 86-34.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Bill Larrain came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Boise pitcher Steve Wright, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a bases-clearing double. It was a game-changer, putting Winchester on top, 5-2.

"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Larrain told the Winchester News.
