The Indianapolis Eagles used the hitting of first baseman T.J. Walker to subdue the Syracuse Scorpions, 10-4. For the game, Walker went 2 for 5 with a home run, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Billy Westcott came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. The victory makes Indianapolis 15-12.

Indianapolis third baseman Victor Mendez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a curveball to right-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 27th hit of the season and put the Eagles ahead, 2-1.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Mendez told the Indianapolis Citizen.
