Winchester turned a good effort from starter Rich Roberts into a win over the Fresno Running Rebels at Mountaineers Park. The final score was 4-2. Earning his 1st save for Winchester was Mark Crocker. Winchester, at 95-23, is 12½ games up in the Eastern AA Southen Division.

Josh Laster aided the Winchester cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop went 2-4 with 2 singles.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Roberts. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
