The Riverside Rotters picked up a win at Rotters Ballpark, knocking off the Traverse City Bears, 5-2. Starting pitcher Andy Shoemaker was a big reason why. Shoemaker got the win, improving to 11-8. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Riverside has now won 5 games in a row.

The Rotters got a big at-bat from catcher Chris Terry. For the game, Terry went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Riverside a 2-1 lead.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Riverside manager Adrian Mercado.
