Bears Lose, 4-2, as Polecats Rally
Traverse City wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Danny Arroyo, falling to the Libertyville Polecats, 4-2. Arroyo threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Brian White picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Chris Bentley suffered the loss. Brian Hennick earned the save for Libertyville, his 12th of the year.

Libertyville used the timely hitting of Ryan Hamm to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Polecats on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Libertyville manager Justin Thiede called it "a darn good win."

The second-place Polecats lifted their record to 58-60.
