Mesa second baseman Adam Persons was a significant contributor in his team's 7-4 triumph over the Boise Dread Kings. He was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Razor Sharks. Nate Roberson got the win, improving to 9-6. He held the Dread Kings to 2 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 4. David Cooper notched his 12th save in 13 chances.

The Dread Kings had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Razor Sharks going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old left fielder Craig Williams came to the plate. Williams hit a run-scoring double on a 2-2 sinker from Boise hurler Adam Matthews. It was Williams's 17th double of the year.
