Riding the 2-hit performance of the 21-year old first baseman Mike Accardi, the Washington Wildthings stopped the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers, 9-2. Tyler Findley picked up the save for Washington, his 1st of the year. Washington, with the win, is 25-91.

Accardi made an early impact for Washington when he stroked his 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Wildthings on top, 5-1.

"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Accardi told the Washington Chronicle.
