Eskimo Brothers Tear Continues with 7-1 Triumph
|
John Andrews helped his team muscle past the Washington Wildthings, 7-1. In the game, the Encinitas shortstop was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win was credited to Chris Porter in relief. His record improves to 5-1. Tokuyuki Matsuura took the loss. Encinitas has now reeled off 12 straight wins.
Angelo Diaz drove in one run for Encinitas. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Tokuyuki Matsuura. It was his 37th RBI of the season.
"We've been playing some good baseball," Andrews told the Encinitas Today. "We're aggressive and focused on what we're going to do on the field and getting it done."
