Starting pitcher Josh Monroe had a solid game. He was a big reason the Riverside Rotters throttled the Mescalero Chiefs, 1-0 in 10 innings. Riverside raised its record to 81-35 with the win.

The Rotters got a clutch hit from left fielder Phil Galvin. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to right-center, to win the game for the Rotters.

"This was a nice win for us," said Monroe. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
