The Winchester Mountaineers beat the Traverse City Bears, 8-1. Winchester pitcher and Auburn, Nebraska, native Brian Treadway led the way. The first-place Mountaineers have won 7 consecutive games.

Treadway was effective against the Bears, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The left-hander limited Traverse City to just 1 run on 4 hits over 8.1 innings.
