Cougars Reel Off Another Win
The Rohnert Park Cougars scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Boise Dread Kings at Ballpark of Greenup. Rohnert Park pitcher Kyle Yearwood held his own in the contest. Yearwood yielded 3 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 4, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-5. Gabe Sprung earned the save for Rohnert Park, his 5th of the year.

In the bottom of the 6th, designated hitter Tommy Hendershot gave Rohnert Park the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Cougars had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out single off Boise pitcher Joey Byler changed that -- and Rohnert Park went on to win.

"I like the roll we're on," said Rohnert Park manager Ramiro Mendiola.

The Cougars now own a record of 54-58.
