Eskimo Brothers Shut Out Mermen, 8-0
|
The Encinitas Eskimo Brothers topped the Corpus Christi Mermen, 8-0, at Mermen Field. Encinitas first baseman Pablo Patlan was a spark plug for the offense. He was 3-6 with a home run and a double. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2. Mike Pistorio earned the save for Encinitas, his 1st of the year. The Eskimo Brothers improved to 76-32.
Patlan made an early impact for Encinitas when he stroked his 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the top of the second, put the Eskimo Brothers on top, 4-0.
"They just got us," said Corpus Christi manager Arturo Colon, "and that's all I can say."
