The Boise Dread Kings wasted an impressive 7-inning effort from starter Donny Bisesi, falling, 2-1, to the Traverse City Bears at Greensboro Grounds. Traverse City has a record of 49-59, placing them 4th in the Eastern AA Northern Division.

Up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, 22-year old right fielder David Shein had a chance to be the hero. Boise pitcher William Deel had other ideas. But with two outs, Shein drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Bears had themselves a dramatic win.

"Makes our job easier," said Shein, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
