Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Justin Kreger the Alcoa Millionaires defeated the Aurora Suns, 4-1. Alcoa reliever Jacob Hodge was credited with the win. His record goes to 7-2. Charlie Hunter took the loss for Aurora. Allan Clemente saved it for Alcoa.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Dillon Reed? The Alcoa second baseman had a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Millionaires on top, 3-1. For the game, Reed had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"Our offense was purring," said Alcoa manager . "Like a well-oiled machine."
The win makes Alcoa 38-71, nothing to write home about.
