The Maine Pines and Boston Whistlers played an entertaining game for Oakhurst Field patrons.

Ryan Henry, who led the NC in ERA with 2.54 in 2024, was locked in. The right-hander led the Maine Pines to a 3-2 win against the Boston Whistlers at Oakhurst Field. In 8 innings, Henry surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs.

The Pines got a big hit from second baseman David Duthie. Facing Boston pitcher Pat Wilber in the bottom of the fifth, Duthie pounded a solo home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season put the Pines ahead, 3-1.

"This was a total team effort," said Henry.

Maine is off to a hot start at 3-0.
