Bears Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Cougars
The Traverse City Bears got a magnificent performance from pitcher Francisco Macias, who muffled the Rohnert Park offense en route to a tight 3-1 Bears win at Greensboro Grounds. Macias picked up the win for Traverse City, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 10-6. The Cougars have now dropped 5 straight.

The Bears got an important contribution from right fielder Graham Clayton, who in the bottom of the first hit a full count fastball into left for a 2-run home run. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Bears ahead, 2-0.

"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Clayton told the Traverse City Chronicle.
