Aurora took on Washington in front of a lively crowd.
Aurora Suns pitcher Gerardo Cruz was in top form, leading his team past the Washington Wildthings, 7-1. At 64-42, the Suns are currently second in the Eastern AA Southen Division.
Brian Byrd, the Aurora third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 2-0, Suns. For the game, Byrd went 1 for 4 with a walk.
