The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.

The Boise Dread Kings did just enough to sneak past the Traverse City Bears, 6-5, at Greensboro Grounds. Boise pitcher Davey Swenson, in particular, had a standout performance. Boise has now won 5 games in a row.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Soini Huhtinen came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Traverse City pitcher Andrew Tanner, he hit a 2-1 slider for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Boise on top, 6-5.

"That was your kind of game, if you like high drama," said Dread Kings manager Sean Drummond.
