The Mesa Razor Sharks topped the Washington Wildthings, 11-4, in Eastern AA action at Razor Sharks Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Mesa pitcher Isiah Key. The slumping Wildthings have lost 12 straight.

Chris Medders had a big grand slam home run for the Razor Sharks in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Mesa leading 5-4 and the bases loaded, he sized up a cutter from 18-year old left-handed pitcher Jose Suazo and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Razor Sharks on top, 9-4.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Mesa manager Danny Schexnayder.
