The Boise Dread Kings defeated the Aurora Suns, 3-2, at Ballpark of Boise. Leading the charge for Boise was right fielder Omari Baker. He was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2. Dan Presnell came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. The win puts the Dread Kings at 62-45, while the Suns drop to 51-56.
Baker had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the sixth, when he hit a solo home run. The Dread Kings went on to win.
Baker attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
