Polecats Squelch Eskimo Brothers Offense in Shutout Win
In a low-scoring affair between the Libertyville Polecats and the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers, pitcher Nate Billesbach was the difference between victory and defeat. The Libertyville right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-0 Polecats win. The save was credited to Joe Lilley, his 4th. Libertyville, at 48-56, holds down third place in the Eastern AA Northern Division.

Early in the game, second baseman David Jordan had a 2-run home run for Libertyville. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Polecats on top, 2-0.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Encinitas skipper Logan Greening, "and it cost us."
