Nightmare Tagged with 8-6 Loss
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Halifax Heathens and New York Nightmare.
New York got a terrific game from third baseman Nick Seago. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Halifax, 8-6. Seago went 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. New York is 12-14 after the defeat.
Halifax used the timely hitting of Leo Serna to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Heathens ahead, 4-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"There's so many different ways you can win a game," said winning manager David Morris.
