Yard Dogs Bump Off Razor Sharks, 6-4
The Mobile Yard Dogs knocked off the Mesa Razor Sharks, 6-4, in Eastern AA action at Mobile Grounds. Mobile pitcher and San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic, native Willie Bahena had an outstanding performance. The win went to Bill Llamas in relief, making him now 5-4. Lílian Pona took the loss for Mesa. At 61-42, the Yard Dogs claim first place in the Eastern AA Northern Division.

Mobile took a 6-3 lead on Ernie Johnson's 16th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Johnson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Mesa pitcher Matt McCracken visibly frustrated.

"This game will punch you right in the mouth," said Bahena. "My job is to show up and give my team a chance."
