Monroe, Riverside Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
The Riverside Rotters converted a terrific effort from starter Josh Monroe into a win over the Rohnert Park Cougars at Rotters Ballpark. The Rotters won the game by a final score of 2-0. Howie Freel closed it out for Riverside, earning his 11th save. The first-place Rotters have won 6 straight games.

Monroe, who dominated for Riverside, earned the victory to move to 13-4. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 6.2 innings, while striking out 8. Rohnert Park batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
