Barrett Excels, But Dread Kings Win
|
Aurora right fielder Eric Barrett had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-6, to Boise at Suns Field. Barrett went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Jordan Gaines closed the door for Boise, picking up his 29th save of the year. The Dread Kings now own a record of 55-45.
Boise needed the clutch hitting of Dave Muller to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dread Kings on top, 8-6. For the game, Muller had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Muller. "You've got to get results."
