Anderson Lifts Eskimo Brothers to 13-8 Triumph
Eskimo Brothers designated hitter Matt Anderson left his mark on his team's 13-8 win over the Alcoa Millionaires. Anderson went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Encinitas in the contest. Jim Mendoza, now 8-1, was credited with the win in 3 innings of relief. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. The Eastern AA Northern Division-leading Eskimo Brothers are 70-27.

Encinitas took advantage of an error in the bottom of the seventh inning. The game was tied, 7-7, when Armando Gomez hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Eskimo Brothers in front, 8-7.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Eskimo Brothers manager John McKearney.
