Riding the 2-hit performance of the 24-year old right fielder Felix Mora, the Rohnert Park Cougars defeated the Washington Wildthings, 9-2. Rohnert Park pitcher Kosuke Sakai got the win. He's now 1-0. Tokuyuki Matsuura was tagged with the loss. The Cougars saw their record improve to 44-54.

With Rohnert Park leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Mora hit a fastball from Tokuyuki Matsuura for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Cougars ahead, 3-0.

"We didn't put up much resistance," said losing manager Danny Sanchez.
