Traverse City Drops Another One, 11-2
|
The home team gave the crowd at Ballpark of Boise something to cheer about.
The Boise Dread Kings had no problem beating the Traverse City Bears, 11-2, at Ballpark of Boise. Manuel Campos, who is tied for 7th in the E-AA in stolen bases with 12, led the onslaught. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 4 runs for Boise. The winning pitcher was Chris Robles. He's now 8-4. He went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits for the Dread Kings.
Boise got a big at-bat from Wadsworth, Ohio native Ryan Doyle, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Dread Kings ahead, 10-2.
"This team is real focused right now," said Boise manager Sean Drummond.
The second-place Dread Kings have won 5 in a row.
