In a tight tilt between the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers and the Boise Dread Kings, Rodrigo Izquierdo was the deciding factor. The Encinitas right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The Eskimo Brothers have now won 5 straight.
Arturo Guevara had a big 2-run home run for the Eskimo Brothers in the bottom of the third inning. With Encinitas leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Nelson Martinez, who is tied for 9th in the E-AA in innings pitched with 121.0, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 7th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Eskimo Brothers ahead, 3-0.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Boise manager Sean Drummond said, following the tough loss.
