Wildthings Get 8-7 Win Versus Fresno
|
The Washington Wildthings topped the Fresno Running Rebels, 8-7, with right fielder Daniel Colon playing a big role. Colon went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Wildthings in the win. The winner in relief was Ian Hobby. He is now 3-2. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. Jim Unknown earned the save, his 1st, for the Wildthings.
Jody Stack, who is tied for 7th in the E-AA in home runs with 23, aided the Washington cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder was 1 for 2 with 3 walks.
