Chiefs Lose By a Run at Boise
Boise Dread Kings starter Pat Higginbotham turned in a sparkling performance against the Mescalero Chiefs, leading his team to a 3-2 win. The winning pitcher was Higginbotham, now 4-2. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 4. The Dread Kings improved their record to 50-44 by beating Mescalero.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Dread Kings had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when shortstop Jeremy Capra hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Kareem Craig and made the score 3-1, Dread Kings. Capra went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

"Pat just settled in and did what he does," said Boise manager Sean Drummond.
