Baran Powers Bears to 9-5 Win
Spirited fans greeted the Washington Wildthings for their clash with the Traverse City Bears.

Bears center fielder Sean Baran put his stamp on his team's 9-5 win over the Washington Wildthings. Baran was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for Traverse City in the contest. With the win, the Bears hiked their record to 50-45.

Traverse City used the timely hitting of Ethan Gatto to capture the win. The designated hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bears on top, 9-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Baran.
