7-1 Win Makes It 11 Straight for Eskimo Brothers

Simon Scales, who is tied for 9th in the E-AA in wins with 7, was locked in. The right-hander led the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers to a 7-1 win against the Traverse City Bears at Greensboro Grounds. Scales, now 7-2, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Jon Olivares closed out the game, earning his 1st save.
Early in the game, second baseman Arturo Guevara had a 2-run home run for Encinitas. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Eskimo Brothers on top, 2-0.
Scales told a Encinitas Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Encinitas, having won 11 in a row, is now 68-26.
